This site is an information resource dedicated to the Preservation of the Mekong River Ecosystem, to the Defense of the Mekong River People's  Rights and to the promotion of Sustainability in all Developments involving the Mekong River Basin.
This site presents essays written in Vietnamese, English, French or any other Western languages, and comprises also various synopsis, translations of important international documents on the Mekong River Basin and Links with related Web sites.
"MekongRiver"  goals are to promote the exchange of information and opinion among scholars and students interested in the Mekong River Basin, in its diversified Ethnicity, Natural Resources, Environment, Agriculture, Industry, Economics, Culture, Lifestyle, Geography and History.

Trang lưới nầy trình bày tài liệu về sự cần thiết bảo tồn hệ Sinh Thái sông Cửu Long, bảo đảm quyền lợi căn bản của Dân Cư sống trong Lưu Vực, phát triển bền vững trong phạm vi Vùng Sinh Thái.
Trang nầy cũng trình bày các bài khảo luận bằng tiếng Việt, Anh, Pháp hay tiếng Tây phương khác, cộng thêm các bài tóm tắt, dịch thuật những tài liệu quốc tế về Lưu Vực và những mối Liên Kết với các Tổ Chức đang hoạt động cùng chung mục đích.
Nhóm "Sông Cửu Long" hoan nghinh sự trao đổi tin tức và ý kiến với mọi giới đang lưu tâm đến Lưu Vực Sông Cửu Long, với Dân Cư đang sống tại lưu vực thuộc mọi nguồn gốc, với mọi đồng bào nguyên quán nơi lưu vực, vế các vấn đề Tài Nguyên, Môi Trường, Nông Nghiệp, Công Nghiệp, Kinh Tế, Văn Hóa, Dân Sinh, Ðịa Dư, và Lịch Sử của con Sông quốc tế Mekong.
